New Delhi: For the first time, the University Grants Commission (UGC) on Tuesday launched a comprehensive plan for its officials to build and enhance their abilities, efficiency, and qualifications to increase their capacity to serve the higher educational system in India.
UGC Chairman Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar told The Indian Express that UGC is the first autonomous organisation to have initiated planning for the capacity building of their employees in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), which was established by the centre in 2021. He said the Annual Capacity Building Plan (ACBP) is a comprehensive plan outlining interventions essential for enhancing individual officials’ competencies and the overall capacity of UGC.
