UK Govt Okays Nirav Modi’s Extradition To India

London: The UK Home Office on Friday approved the extradition of fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi to India.

Modi is an accused in the Rs 13,500 crore Punjab National Bank scam and wanted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in India.

Earlier in February, a UK court had cleared the first legal hurdle for the extradition of Modi, who is currently lodged in a prison in that country.
