Kyiv: Under attack, Ukraine is determined to give Russian a tough fight.
Not just on the field, Kyiv has launched an aggressive ‘war’ on social media against Russian President Vladimir Putin and his powerful army.
Ever since Putin announced a military offensive against the eastern European country early on Thursday, the official Twitter handle of Ukraine has been extremely active, blasting Kremlin and has sought support from rest of the world.
A hilarious post, showing German dictator Adolf Hitler showing a tender gesture to Putin, went viral. “This is not a ‘meme’, but our and your reality right now,” Ukraine wrote along with the illustration, comparing Russia’s aggression is no less than Germany’s under Hitler.
Ukraine also shared a tweet asking users of the social media platform to tag Russia and share their opinion on the attackers. “Tag @Russia and tell them what you think about them,” it posted.
It attracted a lot of eyeballs most of whom were critical of Putin.
In another key move, Ukraine shared a link through which people can provide financial assistance for its army.
