New Delhi: The Indian government is planning to operate two flights to Bucharest in Romania on Friday and one flight to Budapest in Hungary on Saturday to bring back Indians stranded in Ukraine, according to ANI.
The flights to Bucharest will be operated by Air India and will fly from Mumbai and Delhi. The cost of bringing back Indians will be borne by the government.
The Embassy of India in Ukraine also issued an advisory for all Indians that New Delhi was working to establish evacuation routes from Romania and Hungary.
The Indian Embassy in Hungary also put out an advisory that it was working to establish evacuation routes from Romania and Hungary. At present, teams are getting in place at checkpoints CHOP-ZAHONY (Hungarian border) near Uzhhorod and PORUBNE-SIRET (Romanian border) near Chernivtsi, it said.
