Pune: Odisha Juggernauts finished their league engagements in the inaugural Ultimate Kho Kho League with a 36-65 loss at the hands of Telugu Yoddhas on Wednesday night.
The Juggernauts’ second successive defeat pushed them to second place in the standings with 21 points from 10 matches, while Gujarat Giants topped the standings with 23 points after their 47-42 triumph over Rajasthan Warriors.
But those results won’t change the play-offs line-up, which will pit the Juggernauts against Giants in Qualifier 1 on September 2, followed by the Eliminator between the third-placed team (Telugu Yoddhas) and No. 4 team (Chennai Quick Guns).
The winner of Qualifier 1 will advance to the final, while the loser of that match will face the winner of the Eliminator for a crack in the title-round.
