Pune: Telugu Yoddhas earned the right to challenge Odisha Juggernauts for the inaugural Ultimate Kho Kho League title after ousting Gujarat Giants 67-44 in Qualifier 2 here on Saturday night.
The Yoddhas were in control right through the match, having taken a 39-21 lead at the halfway stage.
Telugu Yoddhas had beaten Chennai Quick Guns 61-43 in the Eliminator on Friday, and will go into Sunday’s grand finale against the Juggernauts on a three-match winning run.
Odisha Juggernauts sailed into the final after beating Gujarat Giants in Qualifier 1 in Friday’s second match.
The Juggernauts and Yoddhas, who will be eyeing the top prize of Rs 1 crore besides a glittering trophy, are evenly matched.
