Pune: Odisha Juggernauts registered their fifth successive victory to seal a playoff berth in the inaugural Ultimate Kho League.
The Juggernauts were far too strong for Mumbai Khiladis on Saturday night, winning 60-37 after leading 29-20 at half-time.
With 18 points in 7 matches, the Juggernauts strengthened their position on top of the six-team standings.
Milind Chavarekar played a crucial role in Odisha’s triumph, scoring five points and defending for 3.13 minutes. Suraj Lande also contributed handsomely, earning 12 points.
Odisha Juggernauts’ remaining three round-robin league matches are against Telugu Yoddhas (Aug 28 and Aug 31), and Mumbai Khiladis (Aug 30).
Gujarat Giants have also secured their spot in the playoffs.
