Uma Shankar Das To Take Charge As New Bhubaneswar DCP

Bhubaneswar: Dr. Uma Shankar Das will take charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Bhubaneswar on Monday.

Dr. Das has previously served as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Puri district. He played a vital role during the conduct of Rath Yatra amid COVID-19 pandemic.

A function will be held at the Commissionerate Police headquarters for the joining ceremony of the new Bhubaneswar DCP. However, the joining function would be broadcast live in the wake of coronavirus, the public relations officer (PRO) of the commissionerate said.
