Berhampur: Unable to bear the murder of his mother 13 days ago, a 25-years-old man allegedly commited suicide by consuming pesticide at a village in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Tuesday.
Sources said family members of the man, identified as Debasish Panda, rushed him to the district headquarters hospital at Chatrapur where he was pronounced dead.
Police have seized the dead body and sent it for postmortem.
His mother Suprabha Choudhury had died after being attacked by unknown assailants with sharp weapons in her house at Badadanda Sahi in Bipulingi village under Chatrapur police station limits on February 16 while she was alone in the house. However, police are yet to trace out the killers.

Debasish, who was the youngest, had been adopted by Radhakrushna Panda of the same village, according to family sources.
