Kendrapara: An under-trial prisoner (UTP) died at district headquarters hospital in the early hours of Thursday.
He was identified as Dhiren Behera, a native of Patalipanka village under Marshaghai police limits.
According to sources, the jail authorities had admitted the UTP to the hospital on Wednesday night after his health deteriorated.
However, he succumbed to his illness this morning.
