Paralakhemundi: An undertrial prisoner of Parlakhemundi Sub-Jail in Odisha’s Gajapati
district died in a hospital here on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Bijay Sabar of Nerediguda village.
According to jail officials, Sabar was admitted to Parlakhemundi
hospital due to ailments. He died in the course of treatment at the
hospital.
Sabar was lodged in the jail after he was arrested three days ago for
his alleged involvement in illegal liquor trade.
The body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of
death.
