Undertrial Prisoner Dies In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: An undertrial prisoner (UTP) died in Odisha’s Balasore late on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Kamalakanta Barik of Bhadrak district.

According to sources, Barik complained of uneasiness, following which, he was taken to a hospital in Soro. But, doctors declared him brought dead.

The reason for his death is yet to be known. The body has been sent for postmortem.

Notably, Barik was shifted to Soro Sub-jail from Bhadrak two months ago due to COVID-19.
