Undertrial Prisoner Escapes From Nayagarh Sub-Jail

Nayagarh: An undertrial prisoner, identified as Himanshu Nayak, escaped from Nayagarh sub-jail on Sunday.

He was arrested and lodged in the sub-jail on July 7 in a robbery case.

According to sources, the jail authorities found Himanshu missing from the jail premises and launched a manhunt to nab him. They are also trying to gather information from the CCTV cameras installed in the jail.

A case regarding the incident has also been filed, the sources added.
