Bhubaneswar: The body of an unidentified youth was found near railway tracks in Odisha capital on Sunday.
According to police sources, some local people found the youth lying beside the train tracks near Vani Vihar railway station in the city. Suspecting some foul play, they informed the GRP.
A team of GRP went to the spot and on checking the youth, they found him dead. They also detected several fresh injury marks all over the body. They informed the local police who sent the body for post-mortem.
On enquiring from the locals, the police could not ascertain the identity of the deceased. They suspected that the youth might have been murdered and his body thrown near the train tracks.
The police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched investigation, the sources said.
