Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has assured of putting various road projects in Odisha including Cuttack-Sambalpur National Highway (NH) on fast track.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took up the road projects with Gadkari in New Delhi on Thursday. Gadkari reviewed the status of the projects with the officials in presence of Pradhan.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Pradhan said besides the Cuttack-Sambalpur NH, the Union Transport Minister took stock of the NH 53 going through Bhuban and Kamakshyanagar in Dhenkanal to Duburi, expansion of the NH from Godibandh to Banarpal, Ring Road in Sambalpur, Coastal Highway in the state and Capital Region ring road.
Gadkari reviewed the environment clearance, tender process, alignment and other issues related to the projects. He assured Pradhan of completion of the projects soon for the benefit of the people of the area, said Pradhan.
