General Singh inaugurated the building connecting Terminal-1 (Domestic) and Terminal-2 (International) of the airport on digital mode.

According to Airports Authority of India (AAI), the new link building is equipped with an arrival facility for international passengers along with immigration and baggage claim belts on the first and ground floor of the building.

Constructed at a cost of Rs 87.21-crore, the new building with an area of 3,360 sq km will enhance the existing capacity of the international terminal from 285 passengers in the busiest hours to 384 passengers.

With seamless interconnection between both terminals, the link building will provide international passengers’ access to passengers boarding bridges at the domestic terminal.

The link building will help push the government’s efforts to increase international flight operations from BPIA.
