Bhubaneswar: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram was admitted to AIIMS-Delhi after his health deteriorated on Monday night .
He had tested positive for Dengue on August 11.
According to sources, he was admitted around 9 pm in the new private ward under Dr Anant Mohan, head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders. His condition is stated to be stable.
Notably, Jual had lost his wife, Jhingia Oram, to dengue on August 17. The 58-year-old was undergoing treatment for dengue and other complications for the eight days at a private hospital in the city. Jual after his return from Delhi also tested positive for dengue and was admitted to the same hospital. He was yet to recover and was expected to leave for Delhi on Monday for health check-up at AIIMS.
CPI-M general secretary Sitaram Yechury was also admitted to emergency department of AIIMS after he complained of a high fever last evening. He had gone for a checkup, and was admitted due to pneumonia. “There is nothing serious, he has been admitted due to pneumonia,” PTI quoted sources as saying.
The source added that that 72-year-old politician is in stable condition.
