Bhubaneswar: With BJP heavyweights already making whirlwind tours of Odisha, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are slated to visit the state to bolster the party’s prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly polls.
Sharing this information, BJP’s election in-charge for Odisha Vijaypal Singh Tomar said that Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit the state on May 8 to campaign for party candidates.
During his visit, the Defence Minister is slated to address an election meeting in Rayagada.
Similarly, Amit Shah is scheduled to undertake a visit to Odisha on May 12 to further intensify BJP’s campaign for the upcoming elections. This will be Shah’s second visit to the state after the saffron party formally kicked off its campaign for the twin polls.
Odisha has already been witnessing visits of high-profile BJP leaders for electioneering. While External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is currently on a visit to the state since Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president J P Nadda are slated to reach the state on Sunday for election campaign.
