Bhubaneswar: All authorised vendors selling food items at railway stations will be provided identity card with QR code. The system has been introduced at Khurda Road Railway Division to identify unauthorised vendors.
The identity card contains all the information of the vendor.
By downloading the QR code app, the train ticket examiners (TTEs) can check validity and authenticity of the vendor.
This will help to wipe out unauthorised vending in station platforms and ensure quality food served to passengers by authorised vendors.
