Puri: Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s pilgrim town of Puri has received 1 kg 800 milligram gold as donation from an unidentified devotee of the Lords.
According Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), ten pieces of gold ingots each, weighing approximately 100 gram each, were recently found in the ‘hundi’ (donation box) placed at the ‘Nata Mandap’ inside the premises of the 12th-century shrine.
This is the highest quantity of gold received as a donation in recent years, it added.
