Unlock 1.0: Odisha Issues Stay Home Advisory For Elderly, Kids & Pregnant Women

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Monday announced that persons above 65 years of age, those with co-morbidities, and pregnant women and children below 10 shall stay at home except for essential and health purposes during the lockdown period. To prevent community transmission of COVID-19, Chief Secretary stressed adherence to social distancing guidelines. The decision has been taken as the persons above 65 years of age, those with co-morbidities, and pregnant women are more vulnerable to Covid-19. “Persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women, and children below the age of 10 years, shall stay at home till 31st May, except for essential and health purposes,” said the Chief Secretary AK Tripathy. The fifth phase of the lockdown will continue till June 30.

Tripathy also stressed on adherence to social distancing guidelines to prevent community transmission of the virus.

The fifth phase of the lockdown will continue till June 30.
