New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday emphasized on 5 I’s — Intent, Inclusion, Investment, Infrastructure and Innovation — to bring the distressed economy back on track.
Speaking at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Annual Session 2020 , the PM said the government’s decisions are planned and integrated with a futuristic process. “We have taken decisions that will help the country in the long run,” he said.
The Centre is also strengthening local businesses. It has already made purchases worth Rs 200 crore from domestic companies by sidelining global tenders, he added.
The PM informed that around Rs 53,000 crore of financial assistance has been sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana for providing free ration to the poor and migrant workers.
