Minster Padmanabha Behera briefing the media on plying of buses in 10 Category B districts
Bhubaneswar: Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera on Tuesday hoped that Unlock 4.0 guidelines issued by the Odisha government will normalize plying of government and private buses in the state.
The August 31 SRC notification had lifted restrictions on the inter-State and intra-State movement of persons, private vehicles and goods.

Though the state government had given the go-ahead to plying of government and private buses earlier, most of these stayed off the roads due to poor passenger turnout, he said.
The minister further said that the state government had fulfilled most of the demands including waiver of taxes, of Odisha Bus Owners’ Association.
He also said that the bus owners have been asked to ensure that the driver, conductor, cleaner and passengers were masks and strictly adhere to COVID-19 guidelines.
