Bhubaneswar: Encouraged by the good response, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to extend the ‘unreserved sleeper class ticket facility’ in three more trains to enable daily commuters and others embark on short journeys in sleeper coaches of long-distance trains.
Passengers can avail the facility in these trains from February and March next year by paying a “little extra to the general second class ticket fare”, ECoR said in a statement.
The trains are:
Bhubaneswar-Rameswaram Express from March 6, 202, between Bhubaneswar and Berhampur.
Puri-Ahmedabad Express from February 23, 2020, between Puri and Berhampur
Tirupati-Puri Express from February 18, 2020 between Berhampur and Puri.
Passengers can avail the unreserved sleeper class journey ticket from the unreserved ticket counters for the above trains at Puri, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Berhampur railway stations and travel in earmarked S-6 sleeper class Coaches of the above trains for short journeys, the statement said.
This service, in particular, will be helpful for passengers, office goers and families travel in the comfort of sleeper class and avoid the rush in general class, the statement added.

Konark Express between Bhubaneswar and Berhampur.
Visakha Express between Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam.
Prashanti Express from Berhampur to Bhubaneswar
Rayagada-Vijayawada Express from Rayagada to Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin Express from Visakhapatnam to Rayagada from both the directions.

ECoR has also decided to run the following services for Kartik Purnima from Tuesday:
A passenger special from Puri to Palasa. It will leave Puri at 2 pm
Services of 58404 Puri-Khurda Road Passenger from Puri will be extended up to Nayagarh Town.
