Bolangir: Activists of BJP on Monday staged a massive protest demonstration in front an electricity office at Patnagarh in Bolangir district on Monday.
“For residents of Bolangir already reeling under the sweltering summer heat and humidity, unscheduled power cuts add to their misery. Despite the state government’s announcement of no power cuts this summer, people in many parts of Odisha are facing inconvenience owing to the power woes,” said BJP MLA K V Singhdeo, who led the protest.
“Nobody is ready to pay heed to our problem. The unscheduled power cuts are being imposed regularly during night in various areas of the district,” a local resident alleged.
