Lucknow: Anamika Shukla, a teacher from Mainpuri district in Uttar Pradesh, has reportedly earned Rs 1 crore after working in 25 schools simultaneously.
Shukla was employed in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) as a full-time science teacher, but was also working in multiple schools in various UP districts such as Ambedkar Nagar, Baghpat, Aligarh, Saharanpur and Prayagraj among others.
“How can a teacher mark her presence at several places even when they are supposed to mark their attendance online on the Prerna portal? It needs a thorough probe,” Director General of School Education Vijay Kiran Anand told News18.
The officials took note of the matter when the digital database of teachers on the Manav Sampada portal showed her records at 25 schools. She was working for over 13 months in these schools.
“A notice was issued to her, but she did not report back. Her salary was immediately stopped,” education officer in Rae Bareli, Anand Prakash told the media.
