Bhubaneswar: After Puri and Rourkela, two urban primary health centres (UPHCs) in the city have been awarded ISO certification for quality management system.
The two UPHCs that have been issued ISO 9001: 2015 are located at Unit IX and Samantapuri. The Unit IX UPHC has bagged the certificate for providing primary health services, general health care services, specialists under AMA clininc, diagnostic services, supply of drugs under Niramaya programme, maternal health, newborn & child health, immunisation, family planning, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases and emergency services.
Similarly, the Samantapuri has qualified for the certificate for providing free services such as general care, specialist, diagnostic, supply of medicines under Niramaya scheme, family planning, maternal & child health, immunisation, yoga session, counselling, communicable & non-communicable diseases and services to provide healthy slums and wards.
While the certificate for Unit IX UPHC issued on January 13, 2021 is valid upto January 12, 2024, that for Smanatapuri is valid from February 3, 2021 to February 2, 2024.
