UPSC Final Exam Results: IIT Bombay Graduate Kanishak Kataria Tops

New Delhi: Kanishak Kataria, a graduate from IIT Bombay, has topped the civil services final exam, the results of which was announced by UPSC on Friday.

In a statement, the UPSC said Kataria belongs to SC category and qualified the examination with mathematics as his optional subject. He is a BTech (Computer Science and Engineering) graduate.

Srushti Jayant Deshmukh, a BE (Chemical Engineering) graduate from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, is the topper among women. She secured the fifth rank overall.

Of the top 25 candidates, 15 are men and 10 are women.

A total of 759 candidates (577 men and 182 women) have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various services like IAS, IPS, IFS etc.
