New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission is likely to announce the date of the Preliminary examination for Civil Services 2020, on June 5.
The Commission would announce the new date on its official site upsc.gov.in. Earlier, the UPSC had decided to release the revised date of the examination on May 20, but postponed it due to lockdown.
As per the schedule, the examination was to be held on May 31 but was postponed due to lockdown imposed in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
Around 10 lakh candidates have registered for the examination, sources said. The preliminary examination is conducted around April-May and the main examination in June every year.
