The United States has reduced the visa duration of Pakistani journalists to only three months and those going for missionary work to one year. Currently, the journalists and missionaries were granted a visa for five years.
The visa application for Pakistani citizens has also been increased from $160 to $192.
The restrictions have come in wake of Pulwama terror attack which claimed the lives of 40 jawans. Washington has repeatedly asked Pakistan to stop providing safe heavens to the terror groups operating from its soil.
