New Delhi: Even as Israeli forces issued a 3-hour deadline to Gaza civilian ahead of the all-out ground attack, the United States on Sunday informed about organising a ship to take Americans out of Israel.

The ship will be depart from Israeli port of Haifa for Limassol taking “US nationals and their immediate family members with a valid travel document” on Monday, the US embassy said in a security alert Sunday.

According to reports, 29 of US passport holders, living in Israel, were killed in the Hamas attacks on October 7. Another 15 are missing and believed to be among 120+ hostages held by Palestine’s terror group.

Meanwhile, two flights from Israel under ‘Operation Ajay’ carrying 471 Indian passengers landed in the national capital on Sunday. The first flight left from Ben Gurion airport around 5.40 pm local time. The second flight with 274 Indian nationals took off at 11.45 pm local time.

“There is another flight coming in tomorrow. We will keep running the flights till all the people who have registered are taken out. This operation is going very well. It is seamless, well organised… My message would be to stay where you are and follow the instructions. There is no need to panic,” MoS for Road Transport and Highways, VK Singh said.

The operation began on Friday with 212 citizens being safely evacuated from Israel. The second flight carrying 235 Indian nationals, including two infants, arrived in New Delhi on Saturday morning.

There are about 18,000 Indian nationals living and working in Israel including caregivers, students, several IT professionals, and diamond traders.
