Washington DC: His scorn for several media houses notwithstanding, President Donald Trump loves being in the headlines.
Ever since he won a second term in the White House a year and a half ago, Trump has been in the news with his not-always popular policies, and, in the last four months, his decision to join hands with Israel in attacking Iran.
On Saturday, the US President shared a post on his social media platform Truth Social which was bound to catch the world’s attention.
He posted the picture and a short video of a redesigned American passport that displays his face very prominently.
“The USA’s New Passport, which says, ‘Welcome, but be good!’,” Trump wrote along with the passport image.
It wasn’t immediately clear where exactly the message ‘Welcome, but be good!’ is printed in the passport.
Trump’s signature is visible beneath his photo and ‘250’ under United States of America is showcased alongside.

The White House had announced in April that a special passport would be issued to mark the 250th anniversary celebrations of the US Declaration of Independence in July.
The limited-edition design of the passport aims to commemorate this significant milestone in American history and will reportedly be accessible to “any American citizen” who applies for a passport, as well as being available at the Washington Passport Agency.
Responses on social media over this new design have been varied.
“President Trump just unveiled this new EPIC passport,” one user wrote.
“President Trump unveils EPIC new US passport for patriots. Cue the meltdowns!” another said.
Some critics questioned why Trump’s image is on the passport.
“The United States has 250 years of history, and Trump still looked at the passport and thought: Needs more me,” said one netizen.
“Thank God: the Trump image passport is a limited-edition commemorative passport, not the standard passport that most Americans receive,” commented another person.
“US passport is not the same as visa for entering US but Trump doesn’t know that,” read one critical comment.
