Use Of Tribal Santali Script In Digital Platforms On Display At Adivasi Mela In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: For the benefit of the tribals in Odisha, the script of Santali language can now be used in digital platforms.

Continuing its efforts to promote tribal culture, the state government has been trying to bring Santali to the main stream of Odia literature. As part of its efforts, Odisha Virtual Academy, a government undertaking, and the experts have brought the Santali to the digital world.

The tribals can use Santali in digital platforms including texting in mobile phones, interent and social media. It will give them a vasty scope to express their creativity in any sector or field.

The use of Santali in digital network has been on display at the ongoing Adivasi Mela in Bhubaneswar. In the Birsa Munda pavilion in the Mela, the visitors can witness its display in different platforms.
