Bhubaneswar: A cultural programme, ‘Ama Nrutya Ama Sanskruti’ to encourage, promote and preserve the unique tribal art and culture of Odisha was organised on March 12-13 at the Helipad Ground of Nuapada Township.
As many as 29 teams from the peripheral villages of Utkal Alumina, organisers of the event participated. Some of the villagers were Nuagam, Bagrijohla, Gaimundatunda, Dwimundi,
Tikiri, Sanamatikan, Gokulamunda, Lachuguda and Mailiguda, etc.
Bagrijhola team secured the first position, Gokulamunda the second and Mailiguda the third position in the competition. The winning teams were given prizes along with cash awards.
Regional Controller Mines Odisha, Harkesh Meena and Deputy Director of Mines, Janam Singh Banara attended the function as guests.
This was the sixth consecutive fest organised by Utkal Alumina.
