Bhubaneswar: Member of Utkal Chamber of Commerce (UCC) Bhawani Shankar Pani passed away at a hospital in Bengaluru late Saturday night. He was 73.
Pani, an aluminium expert and former DGM (Technical) of NALCO, was suffering from cancer. He was undergoing treatment at the HCG Oncology Hospital in Bengaluru. But he succumbed at 11.20 pm on Saturday, his family sources said.
Pani, who was also a well-know TV panelist, is survived by his wife Susmita Pani, who is an international linguistic trainer and son Gaurav Pani who is settled in the US.
Pani’s last rites were performed in the Wilson Garden Electric Crematorium, Bengaluru on Sunday morning in the presence of close family members. The 10th day rituals will be held at Bhubaneswar.
