Bhubaneswar: Utkal University conducted an online meet of all faculty members, administrative authorities and allied duty-bearers on Friday to celebrate its 96th rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the Union HRD Ministry.

In his address, Vice Chancellor Soumendra Mohan Patnaik said the eminence of any institution cannot be made overnight as it takes years of constant efforts to create a name.

He called on the teaching and non-teaching staff to strive for elevating Utkal University to a single digit rank in NIRF during its centenary celebrations in 2036.

Among others, University Registrar Dayanidhi Nayak, Director of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Pravati Mahapatra, PG Council Chairperson Basanta Mallik and Comptroller of Finance Surendra Kumar Sahoo also spoke on the occasion.
