Bhubaneswar: Utkal University is all set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar for conducting research in healthcare sector.
Announcing this in Bhubaneswar, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar Prof Asutosh Biswas said the proposed MoU will go a long way in bringing substantial improvement in healthcare services.
Prof Biswas was speaking as Chief Guest at a function organised on the occasion of the 80th foundation day of Utkal University in Bhubaneswar.
Hailing Utkal University as a ‘temple of learning’, he said students from the esteemed university have excelled in many spheres and displayed their extraordinary talents across the globe.
By scaling new heights and achieving success in different sectors, they have also brought glory for their alma mater, he said, adding the university has carved a special place for itself in subjects like history, geography, Sanskrit, and environment.
Prof Biswas said the centre of innovation and incubation, e-library and e-laboratory of Utkal University are playing a significant role in sharpening different talents of students and making them self-reliant.
Science and Technology Secretary Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, who was the Chief Speaker at the event, said development of talents and character building is also important while acquiring knowledge.
