Bhubaneswar: A student of Utkal University was found hanging from the ceiling of his hostel room on the university campus in the Odisha capital on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Divash Behera of Dashapalla in Nayagarh district. He was pursuing postgraduate in the Public Administration at the university.
Divash’s friends first spotted him in room no. 125 of Madhusudan Chhattravash and informed the hostel staff.
On being informed, Saheed Nagar police reached the spot and sent the body to the campus hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained.
Investigation into the matter is on.
