Bhubaneswar: Children in the 15-18 age group can register on the CoWin app from Saturday for COVID-19 vaccination, which will begin for them from January 3.
Children born on or before January 1, 2007 are eligible for vaccination. For registration, they can use either their Aadhaar cards or, if they don’t have Aadhaar, their student identity cards.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, those in the 15-18 age group will only be given Covaxin.
Odisha will be inoculating 25.53 lakh children in this age group.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has set a target to inoculate one lakh children in the state capital.
Additional District Urban Public Health Officer Antaryami Mishra said on Friday, “We hope that the number of children in the 15-18 age group will be around 1 lakh in the capital city.”
