Bhubaneswar: The vaccination against COVID-19 in Odisha is set to be back on track with the state receiving 9,43,930 doses of Covishield on Friday.
The fresh consignment of the vaccine reached Biju Patnaik International Airport.
On Thursday, a consignment of 1 lakh Covishield vaccines and 1.82 lakh doses of Covaxin had arrived in the state yesterday.
The state has been grappling with a scarcity of vaccines for the past three days. No inoculation drive was held in 16 districts on Thursday and 11 districts on Wednesday.
“The vaccines will be despatched to the districts on Saturday. However, this will take some time,” said Director of Family Welfare Bijay Kumar Panigrahi.
