Cuttack: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on Monday extended the validity of essential documents such as fitness, licence and registration under Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989.
The validity of these documents has been extended till December 31, 2020.
The decision to extend the validity was taken because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
All documents, whose extension of validity could not or have not been granted due to lockdown and which had expired since Feb 1 of this year or would expire by December 31, 2020, the same may be treated to be valid till December 31, 2020, it said.
