New Delhi: The Central government started evacuating Indian nationals stranded in Bahrain, UAE, USA, Malaysia, Kuwait and Singapore under its ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ on Friday.
With a mission to evacuate 15,000 people in 64 flights and three Navy ships, the first flight carrying 234 passengers from Singapore landed around 11:26 am.
According to reports, of the 64 flights, 15 would land in Kerala, 11 in Delhi and Tamil Nadu, seven in Maharashtra and Telangana each, and the rest in Gujarat, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh.

Also on Friday, Kerala welcomed two flights from Abu Dhabi and Dubai transporting around 363 passengers from the Gulf.
Besides, an Air India flight from Bangladesh will be landing in Delhi soon, reported ANI. There are more flights scheduled for Friday to bring back the Indians stranded in other countries.
