Varun Dhawan learnt it the hard way as he was issued a challan for violating traffic rules in Kanpur, India Today reported.
Varun, known for his performances in films like October, Sui Dhaaga and Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya among others, is currently in Kanpur shooting for his next movie Bawaal.
The public were in for a surprise when they spotted the actor riding a bike in the city streets without donning a helmet. Pictures and videos of Varun obliging fans with by signing autographs went viral on Internet too.
Kanpur police acted promptly, and issued a challan to Varun, as DCP Traffic Kanpur confirmed to India Today.
Varun may face further action as the number plate of his bike reportedly violated guidelines of traffic police.
