New Delhi: Actor Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal were blessed with a baby girl on June 3.
The proud parents had announced the arrival of their daughter on social media, but didn’t disclose her name.
Now, while promoting his upcoming web show ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ on Amitabh Bachchan’s reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, Varun shared the name of his daughter.
“We named her Lara. I’m still learning to connect with her; as you said, everything changes when a baby comes home,” Varun told Big B.
‘Lara’ signifies grace, protection, or victory. Lara has different meanings across different cultures. In Latin, the word refers to the Roman gods who protected homes and fields. In Greek, Lara was a messenger of the gods, and in Spanish, it means “laurel” or “bay tree”.
When Varun asked Bachchan senior to share some parenting tips, the host said, “I’ll tell you one thing, just keep your wife happy… If she is happy, everything will go well in life. This is a single formula — Wife is supreme.”
Varun and Natasha had shared an animated video to announce their daughter’s birth last year, in which their pet dog Joey was seen holding a board on which was written: “Welcome lil sis.”
“Our baby girl is here. Thank you for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby. Hail Ram Hail Ram, Ram Rama Hail Hail Krishna Hail Krishna Krishna Hail Hail,” Varun captioned the video.
Varun tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Natasha on January 24, 2021.
