VC Of Central University Odisha I Ramabrahmam Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Central University of Odisha (CUO), Koraput, Prof I Ramabrahmam passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

He was reportedly admitted to the hospital following a lung infection.

A retired professor of political science at the University of Hyderabad, Ramabrahmam had assumed charge as the third VC of CUO in 2019.

He had done his PhD in Political Science from the University of Hyderabad and MA in Political Science and Public Administration from Andhra University.

Prof. Sharat Kumar Palita is currently performing the duties of VC at the varsity, the PRO informed.

Palita is the senior-most Professor and Dean, School of Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources of the University. He took charge following the appointment of Prof. Kshiti Bhusan Das, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University, as Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Jharkhand.
