Bhubaneswar: Prof LB Sukla, a research professor at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), here has been honoured with the VDGOOD International Scientist Award for 2021 in the fields of engineering, science and medicine.
Prof Sukla, who is also the director of the Bio-fuels and Bio-processing Research Centre run by SOA, was included in the list of world’s top two per cent scientists drawn up by Stanford University, USA, last year. He was also honoured with the Global Teaching Excellence Award recently.
With about 45 years of experience in research in the field of bio-mineral processing, Prof Sukla earlier headed the Bio-Resources Engineering Department of CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar.
