Lanjigarh: Over 1,000 employees and associate partners took part in a safety rally on the premises of Vedanta’s Lanjigarh alumina refinery in Kalhandi district.
The rally kick started National Safety Week celebrations by Vedanta to promote “Zero Harm” policy at the workplace on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the plant’s chief operating officer, Rakesh Mohan, said, “Ensuring the highest measures of safety at the workplace is an integral part of Vedanta’s Zero Harm policy. Our motto of achieving Zero Harm is the driving force that sees us uphold the highest safety standards.”
The plant will also be organizing several activities over the course of the week to spread awareness on safe operations.
