Angul: Two children died and two others were seriously injured after being run over by a speeding vehicle near Kankarei village in Odisha’s Angul district on Sunday.
According to sources, Nunguru Behera, his sister Baisakhi and another minor boy were selling mushrooms collected from the nearby forest along the Angul-Chhendipada road near their village when a speeding four-wheeler ran over them before hitting a tree.
While Nunguru died on the spot, his sister, the other boy and the driver of the vehicle were seriously injured.
Following information, villagers rushed to the spot and informed Nisha Industrial Police who admitted the injured at the district headquarters hospital. Baisakhi later succumbed to her injuries.
