Mumbai: Veteran actress Shashikala succumbed to old age complications in her Mumbai home on Sunday. She was 88 years old.
Shashikala had worked in more than a hundred Bollywood films, including Daku, Raasta, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi among others.
She had also worked extensively in TV and was a part of popular shows like Sonpari and Jeena Isi ka Naam Hai.
For her contribution to Indian cinema, Shashikala was conferred with the Padma Shri in 2007.
