Bhubaneswar: The associate editor of Odia daily ‘Sakala’, Braja Kishore Parida died in a road accident near here on Friday night. He was 57.
According to sources, while Parida was returning to his house in Cuttack late night, an unidentified vehicle hit him at Hansapal square on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. He died on the spot.
The staff of ‘Sakala’ and journalist fraternity have expressed condolence over the untimely demise of Parida.
The veteran journalist has worked in different capacities in media houses. During his long career, Parida has served as assistant news editor in Bhubaneswar DD News, Odia magazine ‘Prajatantra Sapatahiki’, and newspaper ‘Samaya’.
